Originally developed as a treatment for non-operative management of PTTD, the "plastic-in-leather" AFO is a lower height design that is relatively easy to don and provides a high level of support. The brace is typically designed with a custom plastic support within two layers of leather. Padding is usually added to increase comfort. One unique feature of this brace is the multiple closure options.
